The Network Archives Design and Digital Culture platform is initiated by Nieuwe Instituut, Rotterdam. From design collections to experimental zines, archives hold the stories, tools, and ideas that to this day define design and digital culture in the Netherlands and the Caribbean part of the Kingdom. NADD makes these archives visible, accessible, and future-proof.
The platform is built up out of two layers that can be accessed from any page. The top layer is the portal website with all the relevant information about the network. It deals with the main information about NADD, their partners, articles, activities and how to apply when you have an archive and would like to include it.
When you click the explore network button, the interface will bring you to the overview of the data layer, showing the network of makers, archives, organisations, occupations, years and countries. This section is divided in three parts; a list view, image view and map view. From any of these parts you can start to explore the entire network.
