School of Tomorrow

Project Summary

From our A, B, Cs and 1, 2, 3s to so much more, we learn everything in school. So why shouldn’t it prepare us for our greatest test — the threats and challenges of a changing planet. Open to ‘students’ of all ages, School of Tomorrow is a sustainability exhibition commissioned for Singapore Design Week. 10 familiar school subjects spanning the sciences to the humanities are given a sustainability twist, offering lessons on critical environmental issues like waste, pollution, food, energy, climate change and more.

Project Information

When asked to stage an exhibition on sustainability, we knew we had to combat the fatigue surrounding this ubiquitous topic. Our solution is for the exhibition to take on the guise of a school, one that prepares us for humanity’s greatest test. At the School of Tomorrow, familiar subjects spanning the sciences and the humanities are given a surprising twist, with environmental issues as well as sustainability solutions seamlessly worked into the classes. The effect is further heightened by the school taking over an entire building, complete with areas like canteen, library and even a sick bay.
