Oswald is an online shop for home goods.
It curates objects that feel unearthed rather than manufactured.
Each meticulously hand-crafted, functional piece is created by artists whose practices are deeply inspired by nature.
The store’s ethos is rooted in the slow, the strange and the tender and its collections are not defined by trends, but by sensibility. From rugged tiles with a natural, unfinished look, to fungi-made lamp shades, our objects do more than serve a purpose; they ask to be felt, lived with, and slowly understood.
Oswald sees the natural world as not just a source of inspiration, but an ongoing collaborator in the human act of creation.
Oswald is an online shop for home goods, curated as a quiet sanctuary rather than a conventional storefront. It gathers objects that feel unearthed rather than manufactured—ceramics, textiles, woodwork, and functional sculptures that carry the imprint of time, care, and place. Each piece is created by artists and craftspeople whose practices are deeply rooted in nature—guided by the rhythms of the land, the texture of raw materials, and the artful intelligence of organic forms.
This collection is not defined by trends, but by sensibility. Oswald invites in the slow, the strange, the tender—the curve of a weather-worn branch echoed in a vessel’s silhouette, the grain of a table that recalls stone, soil, or skin. These are home goods that do more than serve a purpose; they ask to be felt, lived with, and slowly understood.
More than a shop, it is a sensorial archive of material stories—where the natural world is not just a source of inspiration, but an ongoing collaborator in the act of creation.
The brand’s identity is thus rooted in the company’s profound bound to nature. Its logo was hand-painted, as well as layers of texture applied on top of the imagery. Stones were found along coastal shores, scanned and imbedded into the brand’s platform to further suggest a minimally interventional design process.
The main font used is Self-Modern by Bretagne Type Foundry. Its pointy serifs recall the fine pattern of thorns and organic, dry matter, while its detailed curves, mirror the flowing lines created in liquids pouring. Dazzed by Displaay Type Foundry is the accompanying font. It’s playful and curved, but legible and functional in smaller, digital applications, which allows for a comfortable e-commerce experience.
